As the tale goes, a Croatian doctor Milivoj Dezman fell in love with a theatre actress known as Lady Sram. When she came down with tuberculosis, he convinced the city Zagreb to build a hospital in 1909 to treat the disease. Lady Sram who was one of the first patients, Sadly died in 1913.
After 1968, the facility had fallen into disrepair, and eventually it was simply abandoned.
